Worship Service: Living Water: Stories of Change, Grief, and Memory

Annabeth Roeschley from the Brethren Mennonite Council for LGBTQ+ Interests will be our guest preacher. Her text will be Exodus 2: 1-10 and Revelation 21: 6. She writes, “While I often like to nerd out on queer theology when I preach, this sermon takes a more meditative and poetic tone. I’ll reflect on the change of season and on how living near Lake Michigan has shaped my theological and spiritual practices related to grief and change. I’ll draw on uses of water in biblical scripture including the journey of baby Moses. I hope my message can be a balm for those experiencing personal transitions, as well as for our collective grief and loss—thinking of the solidarity struggles I know LMCers are involved in locally and globally.”

We’ll also celebrate communion together.
